Antonis Mylonas is a professional musician and instrument maker. His musical activity, since 1997, concerns the traditional music of the Mediterranean and the Balkans, having participated in Music Festivals in Greece, France, Spain, and Bulgaria. For the last fourteen years, he has been living and working in Lesbos, where he maintains an instrument-making workshop and actively participates in the cultural life of the island.
His studies concern various fields of Art. He is a graduate of the School of Making and Studying Musical Instruments in Kastoria (2007), School of Puppet Making (2006), School of Photography (1999), and School of Interior Decoration (1997).
His love for children pushed him to deal primarily with artistic activities related to childhood. While living in Kastoria, he presented musical instruments in schools and participated in musical performances for children (2007-2009). During the years he lives in Lesvos: he has implemented puppet shows in schools (2010-2012), accompanied musical performances Karagiozis (2018-2020), implemented activities of making musical instruments from recyclable materials (2019-2020), participates in dramatization of fairy tales (2010 -today).
In addition, he has participated in or organized various actions for the enrichment of the cultural life of Lesvos: he organized the “Mediterranean” Festival (2011-2016), musically accompanied music and dance performances of the “Paralos” dance group in cultural venues of the city such as the Municipal Theater ( 2011-2017), participated in theater performances of the Commedia dell’Arte theater group in the city’s theaters (2011-2019) and collaborates with cultural clubs in Mytilini and D.Lesvos (2011-present).
